I have been meaning to write about sweet Kate for a while now, I am really not that slow on the uptick, just slow getting my posts out lately. The new Westward collection is really a nice breath of fresh air. Clean lines, pretty leather and suede and super fun lining.
Emily Current and Merritt Elliott are LA based stylists and fashion designers who dove into their first handbag collection with great gusto. The duo delighted in mixing materials and adding playful details to sophisticated shapes.
The collection represents a JOURNEY in the very best sense of the word. Inspired by vintage silhouettes with a rakish charm, these two talented ladies mixed traditional luggage leather and broken-in suedes with a smattering of sequins. Each bag is finished with antiqued brass hardware and a fun graphic lining. At a fraction of the cost of other bags that are out there right now, they truly make sense.
