If you’ve not seen this month’s House Beautiful then you are missing out. Featured in the Best of the Best section are ceramics by Jill Rosenwald. As soon as I saw the page, I knew I just had to check out her ETSY shop.
Jill Rosenwald works in a sunny downtown Boston studio in an area known as Fort Point Channel which has for many years been the hub of the artists community. Her talent = designing and making pottery and ceramic lamps.
Jill is constantly working on new concepts developing them in a series of pieces that get perfected over time. She says that inspiration comes by the lucky accidents they achieve during the creation of the series. She usually starts out with a pile of sketches, she then edits and makes pieces based on the best and the brightest. Those pieces are then edited and recreated with the changes..and so on until she reaches a perfect balance of pattern and color and form.
In less than five years I predict that Jill Rosenwald will be a household name.
