All of you know how absolutely obsessed I am over the little shop in Franklin, Tennessee called Rock Paper Scissors. Lauren Rauter is a genius, not only from a Paper retail perspective, but she is a Master blogger. She is my #1 daily read and her style is something to talk about.
Recently, Lauren posted a feature on bicycles that I felt like I had to share with my Product Snob following. Of course, I wrote her and asked permission to use this beauty on my site.

From Lauren:
As many of you know, I have been DYING for a bike. The thing is, I have one from college… a mountain bike that I swore to my parents I would ride to and from class on… no more parking tickets. However, since I am never one to get dressed and ready in a speedy manner… the bike held a prominent position on the rack outside, while the parking tickets mounted and it was all but forgotten. So, here I am, 13 years later and my reputation has preceded me. Now the convincing is to my husband who is an avid road biker, my very own Lance Armstrong! But whenever I pull the ‘ole college bike out of the garage for a Sunday ride… my husband clips into his peddles and rides circles around me. And somehow, my cute Nantucket bicycle basket just doesn’t look as cute I as had hoped on a mountain bike of drab gray. Inevitably, I begin to pout and pull back into the garage and strut off saying… “THIS WOULD BE MUCH BETTER IF WE HAD CUTE BIKES!” Yet, it is hard to justify a pricey purchase when my husband is sitting atop his expensive European bicycle and I on my boring blah two wheeler from years ago. All the bikes, that I have seen fit, have been in the $900 to $1200 range and I have been assured this is not going to happen… where’s that darn money tree when I need one!
It seems my prayers have been answered upon perusing the website over at Urban Outfitters. For $399 each, both my husband and I can have the very bike of “my” dreams. We can even choose our colors, tires, seats and grips and ride into the sunset on our custom machines… designed by me! Thanks to a collaboration between Urban Outfitters and Republic Bike… I believe I just might have lucked out on this one! Ohhhhh Honnneeeeyyyy!!!
Write more… Type less,
Lauren
