A Big Treat

I have said it before and I will say it again. I love the little store in Franklin, Tennessee called Rock Paper Scissors. I love the blog, the online store and the owner Lauren Rauter.

Lauren has agreed to guest blog for ProductSnob! You all are in for a real treat.

Lauren Rauter moved to Nashville in 1998 after marrying the love of her life, her ying to her yang, Tim, her college sweetheart. With a degree in Textiles and Clothing, a burning desire to have her own store, and not many fashion opportunities in Nashville, Lauren dreamed up a stationery store that would bring downtown New York to downtown Franklin (a suburb of Nashville). Over dinner at their favorite Indian restaurant, Tim blurted out the name, Rock Paper Scissors during a brain-storming session while they enjoyed their vegetable korma, naan bread and raita. After that very moment, the wheels were in motion and as they say…. The rest is history. Lauren believes:

• There’s no excuse not to send a thank-you note
• The Discovery Channel rocks
• Every guest room should have a notepad on the night stand
• A cute apron can make you cook better
• The wrapping paper is better then the gift
• A loaf of French bread and pat of butter can make you feel better
• Gift bags are lazy
• Nantucket is the best place on earth
• And… As far as gifts go… anything paper is perfect!
